Dear Parents and Carers,

I first of all wanted to say thank you for all the support you’ve shown us this week, and we’ve been very grateful to have received so many positive comments regarding the organisation and plans for the reopening of the school.

It has been lovely to see so many smiling faces and I know the staff and children had an enjoyable day and can’t wait for their next opportunity to meet again next week!

Given how the guidance from Welsh Government is changing each week, it is likely that we will not be able to share the plans for September until later in the summer holidays, but as soon as we know anything concrete we will of course contact you so that you are aware of the arrangements for the new term.

There will be staff INSET days on –

Tuesday 1st September and Wednesday 2nd September

The provisional return to school date is Thursday 3rd September, but this is subject to change based on the guidance and advice we receive in the coming weeks.

• We would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to Mrs C Dewhurst, who is leaving us at the end of this academic year. She will be greatly missed and we wish her and her family all the very best for the future.

• We will ensure that your child is introduced to their new class teacher before the end of term and appointment times have been sent out to parents of any new Reception pupils to have the opportunity for them and their child to meet Miss Foster and see their new classroom.

• We are also inviting our Year 6 pupils into school on Wednesday 15th July at 12pm – 2pm to get together, have some lunch and say goodbye.
